Kiara and Larry hosted their elegant spring wedding at The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was the perfect setting for their glam hotel affair, featuring a blush, black and white wedding theme. Keep reading to learn about the details from their luxe event, plus see how you can transform this Atlanta hotel for your own wedding.
But first, let’s dive into this amazing duo’s story! Kiara and Larry didn’t have the ‘love at first sight’ experience. Rather, the two met when Larry installed cable (yep, Larry the cable guy) at her new home. The two talked on and off until date nights became a regular occurrence, where they bonded over a love for good food. As for the proposal, we’ll let Kiara cover that:
“Ahhh…. it was absolutely a shocker for me. We discussed it often but the timing was a complete shock. We had date night on Wednesdays because that was his Friday (he worked weekends). We got dressed to grab dinner and drinks. After dinner, we were walking back to the car and he stopped and started telling me why he loved me so much. I am very bashful in public and said “Hey, do you want to continue this as we walk or in the car”? He said, “ No, I have to tell you now”. It’s still registering in my brain that he was pouring his heart out to me. He continued on and got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes. It’s been bliss ever since.”
And so we arrive at their long-awaited wedding day! I arrived at the Avalon to snap photos of Kiara and Larry in the process of getting ready. Kiara looked radiant in a sleeveless fit and flare wedding dress, featuring a big ruffled skirt. She kept her accessories simple, for a bridal style that was oh so timeless! As for Larry, he looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo paired with a black bow tie. He was pinned with a single pink rose to match the smattering of color in his soon-to-be wife’s bridal bouquet.
The pair chose to host their nuptials in the bright and modern Teasley Ballroom. For decor, the aisle way was lined with cylindrical glass vases containing pillar candles. Meanwhile, a ceremony backdrop was constructed using a gold metal arbor and lush floral arrangements. Peep all those soft, fluffy white hydrangeas!
Following a short portrait session under the beautiful spring sky, Kiara and Larry retired to the Skelton Ballroom with their friends and family. This space was the perfect choice for their day, boasting floor-to-ceiling glass windows and high ceilings that left guests awestruck. The talented team from House of BASH worked their magic, creating glamorous tablescapes starring glittering black linens. Pops of pink and white, via napkins and fresh flowers, kept the overall look fun and feminine.
It was an absolute honor to be a part of Kiara and Larry’s special day, and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
Kind words from the bride:
“OMG!! I can’t say enough about how amazing Lesleann was. I reached out to Lesleann during the Pandemic and right before she delivered her baby girl. I must admit, I was nervous to book her but she reassured me she would be back in time for my engagement photos. She wasn’t lying. I think she had more energy than me. She walked up and down, crawled, and even got on the ground for our stunning photos. She instantly became one of the bridesmaids. She was a true joy and pleasure to work with.”
