Hong and Brian hosted their North Georgia wedding at the beautiful Big Canoe Clubhouse – the perfect setting for their whimsical mountain wedding. In my humble opinion, this intimate gated community is one of the most beautiful Georgia mountain wedding venues. You would barely know the pair hosted their wedding on a golf course, thanks to the sparkling Sconti Lake nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains. Keep reading to learn about the details from their day or to get inspired for your own outdoor mountain wedding!
Hong’s bridal style was a balance of traditional yet elegant. Her classic a-line wedding dress featured a sweetheart neckline and a sheer lace bodice. The skirt subtly flared out and was complemented by a floor-length veil. She carried a whimsical bridal bouquet starring orange roses and light blue delphinium. As for Brian, his deep navy suit was pinned with a single vibrant rose. This unique and bubbly color scheme made the celebration stand out beautifully against the lush natural mountain backdrop!
Prior to the ceremony, I had the opportunity to capture a variety of intimate moments between the bride and groom, as well as their respective sides of the wedding party. Hong and her beautiful sky blue bridesmaids held hands in prayer and enjoyed the beautiful garden landscape at the chapel before she went to see her groom. And what an emotional moment it was, when she and Brian clasped hands from opposite sides of a wall at the Clubhouse!
The mountain wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful overlook, granting an unrestricted view of the lake. The setup featured a wooden cross for a backdrop, which was decorated with a voluminous arrangement that matched Hong’s bridal bouquet. Courtesy of the team at Flourish and Bloom.
With such amazing weather, we took full advantage of the sprawling North Georgia venue. The members of the wedding party were troopers as we walked to and fro to snap outdoor portraits. Afterward, they met with friends and family for a cocktail hour near the 18th hole. They then retired indoors, to the lodge-inspired Clubhouse. This venue was so cozy, with large windows that allowed natural light to flood the room. It was the perfect setting for their first dance (& a super sweet dip-kiss!)
It was an honor to be a part of Hong and Brian’s day, and I wish them a long, joy-filled lifetime together. And as always, a special shoutout to the talented vendors who made their day possible.
